  • This will depend on your treatment goals and the level of correction desired. Most patient receive 3 to 4 corrective MOXI treatments, then often elect for regular maintenance treatments. Talk to your practitioner about your goals, and they can advise you on the best treatment regimen.

  • Any area of your body can be treated. The most common areas are those that are most exposed to the damaging effects of the sun. Most people ask for treatments on the face, neck, chest, arms, shoulders, and hands.

  • Results will vary depending on your treatment goals and the plan you set with your provider. The day following your treatment, your skin may appear red, and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called MENDs where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing renewed skin beneath.

  • Yes, MOXI works beautifully on darker skin tones and is appropriate for all skin types. If you have specific questions or concerns based on your skin tone, a MOXI provider will be able to answer your questions.

  • MOXI is a gentle and comfortable laser treatment that most patients find very tolerable. The numbing cream applied to the treatment area before the procedure minimizes discomfort, and your provider may also use cooling air during treatment to keep you comfortable.

  • It is important to follow the post treatment plan provided to you. You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. You will be sensitive to ultraviolet light (sunlight) and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Fully cover your treated skin or use a good physical sunblock before and whenever you go outdoors.
